"Services" means the drainage work we carry out, including drain unblocking, CCTV surveys, drain repairs, soakaway installations, root removal, and homebuyer drain surveys.

5. Bookings and Appointments

5.1 Booking

You can book by calling us, using our website contact form, or via WhatsApp. When you book, we agree a date and time for our engineer to attend.

5.2 Access

You agree to provide safe, clear access to your property and drainage system. If access cannot be arranged, we may charge a return visit fee.

5.3 Attendance

An adult (18 or over) must be present during the work. If no one is available when our engineer arrives, a return visit charge may apply.

5.4 Cancellations

Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange. For cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, a cancellation fee may apply.

6. Pricing, Quotes, and Payment

6.1 No call-out charge

We do not charge a call-out fee on any job, ever. The price you pay covers the work we carry out — nothing is added for coming out to you. This applies to all jobs, all hours, and all locations.

6.2 Quotes

For planned work, we provide a quote before starting. For emergency callouts, we give our best estimate before starting and confirm the price before any work begins. We will not carry out additional work without your approval first.

6.3 Payment

Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept debit card, credit card, and bank transfer.

6.4 Late payment

If payment is not received when due, we may charge interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate and, if necessary, recover the debt through appropriate channels.

7. Our Guarantee

All repair works are backed by a workmanship guarantee of up to 10 years, covering drain relining, structural pipe repairs, patch lining, and soakaway installations.

The guarantee covers defects in our workmanship. If a defect in our work causes a problem within the guarantee period, we will return and resolve it at no additional cost.

The guarantee does not cover:

• Fair wear and tear

• Root re-entry through new pipe cracks developing after our repair is complete

• Damage caused by ground movement, flooding, or third-party work after our repair

• Blockages caused by what is put into the drain after our work

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage except where caused by our proven negligence. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage we could not reasonably detect, blockages caused after our work, or events beyond our reasonable control.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.

9. Your Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information about your property and the problem

• Give our engineers safe access to work areas

• Inform us of any known hazards

• Pay for services as agreed

• Not put items into the drainage system that could cause damage or blockages during or after our work

10. Cancellation Rights

For services booked by phone or online, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If work has already started with your agreement during this period, you will pay for work completed. To cancel, contact info@yourlocaldrainage.co.uk.

11. Website and Advertising

Our website may include advertising delivered through Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram).
